Our Story

Have you ever bought your child a piece of jewellery they absolutely loved, only for it to break, tarnish or lose its shine far too soon?

We have. Many times.

We wanted to create something different — beautiful pieces that children would genuinely love, made to be worn, treasured and kept for longer.

Klara began with our daughter, Eliza, and her love of jewellery.

A few months after having her ears pierced for her 7th birthday, Eliza wanted to replace her first little studs with something a little more special — cute, age-appropriate earrings that felt right for her.

We went shopping together to find them. We wanted something more than just pretty — earrings that were made to last and gentle enough for sensitive ears.

We simply couldn’t find what we were looking for.

It made us realise how hard it can be to find lovely gifts for children around this age. They already have toys and board games, and we wanted something a little more special — something they could wear, enjoy and treasure.

We began to see just how wonderful jewellery could be as a gift. It feels personal, it’s something they can choose for themselves, and it can become a little keepsake they hold onto for years.

That’s where the idea for Klara grew.

Not long after, something happened that made us realise just how much jewellery can mean.

Eliza’s grandmother had come to visit from abroad and brought her a little bracelet she had bought from a stall while she was away.

It wasn’t expensive or fancy, but Eliza loved it. It was a gift from Grandma, and it held the memory of her visit.

Then, one day, the bracelet broke.

Eliza was heartbroken.

It made us realise that jewellery can hold so much more than we expect.

Jewellery isn’t always just jewellery.

A bracelet can hold a memory of Grandma.

A pair of earrings can become part of a birthday.

A little necklace can become something a child treasures for years.

That’s what we want Klara to be about.

Beautiful little pieces, made to be loved, gifted and treasured — for the moments that become big memories.
